Content Guidelines: Disabilities

Respectful portrayal of disabilities

Disability content must avoid mocking or harmful stereotyping while allowing for respectful representation. Content that mocks people with disabilities or presents harmful stereotypes for fetishization is prohibited.

Characters with physical disabilities are permitted when they retain the ability to consent through some form of communication. Characters with mental disabilities are acceptable when the disabilities wouldn't inhibit consent capacity in real-world contexts.

However, mental disabilities that would inhibit consent or make an adult the mental equivalent of a minor are prohibited. The key factor is maintaining the character's adult capacity for decision-making and consent.
