Content Guidelines: Discrimination
Homophobia, transphobia, and racism guidelines
Discrimination-based content can explore serious social issues when handled responsibly, but content that supports or promotes discrimination is strictly prohibited. Visual hate based imagery such as Nazi symbology, are also not allowed.
Homophobia and transphobia may be portrayed in fictional contexts to explore prejudice and its impacts, but content that supports such views or promotes conversion therapy is forbidden. Characters described as attracted to only one gender but engaging with other genders should include appropriate language about questioning sexuality or experimentation.
Racism may be explored in fictional contexts without glorification, but content supporting racist views, race play, or fetishizing racial groups harmfully is prohibited. Content based on real racist events or targeting real individuals is forbidden.
Historic groups based upon racial hatred like the KKK cannot be the central theme of a bot. They can be in a character's backstory, as long as it does not glorify, romanticize, and/or paint the KKK in a positive light.
All discrimination content requires the #Dead Dove tag and clear content warnings. The key distinction lies between exploring discrimination as a serious social issue versus promoting or supporting discriminatory views. Content must maintain clear fictional contexts and avoid real-world events or targeting of real groups.
