# How do I delete my account?

### How to delete your account

To delete your account, follow these steps:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Open the **Security tab**
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
4. Click on **"Delete account"**
5. Follow the on-screen instructions

As part of the process, you will receive a 6-digit one time verification code (OTP)
You must enter this code to confirm and complete your account deletion request.

### Important!
* You **must have access** to the email address associated with your account to complete the deletion process
* For privacy an security reasons, our Customer Support team **cannot manually delete accounts** on your behalf
* Account deletion can only be completed by the user by following the steps above
* If you no longer have access to your email (e.g., temporary email, deleted address), we will **__not__** be able to assist you with account deletion

||| ⚠️ **Important:** Deleting your account is permanent. All your data including posts, characters, personas, and profile information will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
