Can I use an artists work?

You should always gain an artist's permission to use their work, or check that they have allowed their works to be used and/or reposted. Janitor complies with every valid DMCA request, if you do not have permission, your image may be removed without warning.

I have a shirtless man in my image with his nipples exposed. Does guideline 3 mean that is not allowed?

No, guideline 3 specifically says nipples on breasts. Due to the fluidity of gender that is depicted across many characters, we specify breasts as opposed to 'female-presenting' breasts. Does your character have breasts? If yes, cover the nipples. If no, you can expose the nipples.

Can a character just be in underwear?

Yes.

Is it ok if there's some pubic hair poking out of the top of the underwear?

Yes.

I want to depict a battle scene, does that fall under the gore rules?

It depends. If there's a lot of blood, injury, or dead bodies being shown then yes. If it's an ongoing battle but there's no specific gory injury, dead bodies, people being stabbed/shot depicted, but just generic battle imagery with sword fighting/gun muzzle flashes etc., then it should be fine.

I want to make a family bot, can my image include children?

No.

Does my fantastical monster/dragon/alien/animal need clothes?

This depends on how you're depicting it. Standard rules apply to depictions of animals/furrys/anthopomorphised characters/demi-humans. No nipples on breasts, and no genitalia. Animal depictions must also not show genitalia.

I have a horror bot, is peril or danger allowed?

Yes, peril or danger is allowed to be depicted, though needs to stay within the gore and violence rules.

But really allowing this lets too many images that break the other rules through, so we have taken the most practical step we can by not allowing it anymore.

My image was flagged by the AI auto-moderation but there is nothing wrong with it. What can I do?

We continue to try and finetune the AI auto-moderation. Any false positives (or false negatives) can be shared via a ticket through our helpdesk (when including images, you can directly email support@janitorai.com), or via our discord server. Be sure to include both the original image, and the AI auto-mod response.
