Pokemon Character Creation Policy

Overview

This policy outlines guidelines for creating Pokemon characters on janitorai. Users may create Pokemon characters that differ from official canon, including giving them human-level intelligence and communication abilities.

Content Categories

SFW (General) Content

Basic requirements for all Pokemon characters used in Limited roleplay.

NSFW (Adult) Content

Enhanced requirements for Pokemon characters intended for Limitless content.

SFW Limited Content Requirements

All Pokemon Characters Must:

1. Be in adult form (final evolution stage or demonstrated adult maturity)
2. Have human-level intelligence (as defined by the user)
3. Be capable of communication (speech, telepathy, or other method)
4. Display mature behavior appropriate for the character

Even if you want to write a 'wholesome' bot using one of the pokemon that is not in its adult form, you cannot. We do not allow non-adult characters of any kind on JanitorAI, including fictional creatures like Pokemon.

NSFW Limitless Content Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Adult evolution form only - Must be final evolution or single-stage with adult characteristics
2. Explicit human-level intelligence - Character description must clearly state advanced cognitive abilities
3. Clear consent communication - Must be able to give informed consent through defined communication method
4. Appropriate physical portrayal - See detailed anthropomorphization guidelines below
5. Sexual maturity indicators - Character must be portrayed as sexually mature adult
6. Adult decision-making capacity - Must demonstrate ability to make informed choices

Communication Requirements for NSFW:

Character description must include one of the following:

• "Pokemon can speak human language due to [reason]"
• "Pokemon communicates telepathically with human-level understanding"
• "Pokemon uses psychic abilities to communicate complex thoughts"
• Other clearly defined method enabling consent communication

Physical Appearance Guidelines for NSFW:

Fantasy Pokemon (No Anthropomorphization Required):

Pokemon that are clearly fantasy creatures and don't closely resemble real animals:

• ✅ Eevee evolutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, etc.) - fantasy features distinguish them from real animals
• ✅ Dragon-types (Dragonite, Salamence, etc.) - mythical creatures
• ✅ Psychic-types (Gardevoir, Alakazam, etc.) - humanoid or clearly fantastical
• ✅ Ghost-types - supernatural beings
• ✅ Steel/Rock-types - mineral-based or mechanical

Real Animal-Based Pokemon (Anthropomorphization Required):

Pokemon that closely resemble actual animals must be anthropomorphized:

• ⚠️ Cat-like (Persian, Delcatty) - need humanoid features
• ⚠️ Dog-like (Growlithe/Arcanine if portrayed realistically) - need humanoid features
• ⚠️ Bird-like (Pidgeot, Noctowl) - need humanoid features
• ⚠️ Fish-like (realistic Goldeen/Seaking) - need humanoid features
• ⚠️ Bug-like (realistic Butterfree/Beedrill) - need humanoid features

What Constitutes "Too Animal-Like":

• Realistic fur/feather textures identical to real animals
• Facial features identical to real animals
• Behavior patterns purely animalistic

Required Anthropomorphic Features:

• Humanoid body proportions or stance
• Human-like facial expressions/features
• Opposable digits or hand-like appendages
• Clothing or accessories suggesting civilization
• Bipedal posture (where anatomically possible)

Evolution Stage Guidelines

Final Evolution Pokemon

• ✅ SFW: Approved with basic requirements
• ✅ NSFW: Approved if all NSFW requirements met

Single Stage Pokemon

• ⚠️ SFW: Case-by-case review based on maturity
• ⚠️ NSFW: Strict review - must clearly appear sexually mature

Pre-Evolution Forms

• ❌ SFW: Not permitted
• ❌ NSFW: Never permitted

Specific NSFW Examples

✅ NSFW Approved Without Additional Anthropomorphization:

• Vaporeon: "Vaporeon possesses human-level intelligence and communicates telepathically. Fantasy aquatic features make anthropomorphization unnecessary."
• Gardevoir: "Gardevoir has human-level intelligence and speaks telepathically. Already humanoid in design."
• Lucario: "Lucario speaks human language and has adult reasoning capabilities. Bipedal canine design is sufficiently fantasy-based."

✅ NSFW Approved With Anthropomorphization:

• Anthropomorphic Arcanine: "Arcanine has humanoid features including bipedal stance and human-like hands, plus human intelligence and speech capabilities."
• Anthropomorphic Noctowl: "Noctowl portrayed with humanoid body proportions and clothing, capable of complex human communication."

❌ NSFW Rejected Examples:

• Realistic four-legged Arcanine without humanoid features
• Any Pokemon portrayed identically to real animals
• Non-anthropomorphized animal-like Pokemon in realistic art styles

Quick Anthropomorphization Guide

Ask yourself:

1. Does this Pokemon look like a real animal I could find in nature?
2. If yes → Requires anthropomorphic features for NSFW
3. If no (fantasy creature) → No additional anthropomorphization needed

Fantasy indicators:

• Unnatural colors (blue fox, purple cat)
• Impossible anatomy (multiple tails, elemental features)
• Magical abilities visible in design
• Non-animal materials (metal, crystal, etc.)

Required Character Elements for NSFW

Must Include in Description:

1. Intelligence statement: "Has human-level intelligence and reasoning"
2. Communication method: Specific way Pokemon communicates consent
3. Physical maturity: Description of adult characteristics
4. Anthropomorphic features (if required): Description of humanoid traits

Example Template:

"[Pokemon name] possesses human-level intelligence and can [communication method]. They display mature adult behavior and understanding of complex relationships. [Physical description emphasizing adult characteristics and anthropomorphic features if needed]."

Quick NSFW Checklist

Before submitting Pokemon for adult content:

•  Final evolution or mature single-stage only
•  "Human-level intelligence" explicitly stated
•  Clear communication method defined
•  If animal-like: anthropomorphic features described
•  If fantasy creature: no additional requirements
•  Adult physical characteristics specified
•  Mature behavioral capacity indicated
•  Consent capability clearly established
