Violence

Torture

Torture themes may appear in fictional narratives when clearly contextualized. Characters may have histories involving torture or may be placed in such scenarios if the purpose is storytelling rather than glorification.

However, torture must not be fetishized, glamorized, or presented as desirable. Content that encourages real-world torture, promotes harm toward real individuals or groups, or affiliates with organizations that advocate torture is strictly prohibited.

Visual depictions of torture are not permitted. Content based on real-world torture events or identifiable real victims is strictly forbidden.

Abuse Themes

Abuse-related themes may be explored in fictional contexts with responsible handling. These may include domestic abuse, psychological abuse, coercive control, manipulation, financial abuse, or discriminatory abuse. Such elements may be referenced as part of a character's backstory, or narrative, provided they are not glorified, romanticized, or used to target real individuals or groups.

Child abuse requires the strictest limitation. While an adult character may reference past abuse in high-level, non-graphic terms as part of a backstory, detailed descriptions or themed scenarios centered on child abuse are strictly prohibited. This includes both physical and sexual abuse of minors. Descriptions must remain brief and non-specific (for example, "experienced sexual abuse as a child") and must not include explicit details.

Visual depictions of physical abuse are not permitted. Content based on real events or involving identifiable real victims is prohibited across all abuse categories.

Power dynamics may be included in fictional narratives, provided they do not violate other platform rules and do not normalize or promote real-world abuse.

Cannibalism

Cannibalism may appear in horror, crime, or fantasy settings when clearly part of a narrative context. Fictional criminal scenarios involving cannibalistic characters, may be permitted when not presented as instructional, promotional, or fetishized.

Content that glorifies, promotes, or endorses real-world cannibalism is prohibited. Cannibalism framed as desirable or aspirational in a realistic context will be removed.

Graphic depictions of consumption involving explicit gore are not permitted under graphic violence restrictions.

Necrophilia

Necrophilia involving unanimated corpses is strictly prohibited under all circumstances.

Content involving animated undead characters (such as zombies or other reanimated beings) may be permitted only if the character demonstrates clear intellectual capacity, agency, and the ability to communicate consent. If the entity is functionally a corpse without cognition or autonomy, any sexual content involving it is prohibited and will be treated as necrophilia.

Under no circumstances may content sexualize real death, real deceased individuals, or realistic portrayals of dead bodies.

Graphic Gore and Extreme Violence

Gore and extreme violence content requires careful consideration of both written descriptions and visual elements. Such content is permitted in fictional contexts but faces restrictions on visual depictions. Written content may explore these themes when they serve narrative purposes, but visual depictions face strict limitations.

Real-life images of injury, gore, or death are strictly prohibited. Fictional visual depictions are limited to non-graphic portrayals, such as healed scars, healed limb loss, fantastical transformations (e.g., zombification without exposed organs or explicit mutilation).

Body horror follows similar guidelines, permitting fictional written while prohibiting real-life visual depictions entirely.

Fictional crime scenarios, including murder, kidnapping, stalking, blackmail, organized crime, or similar activities, are permitted when clearly fictional and not based on real events. Characters may be perpetrators or victims when the content serves narrative purposes and does not glorify real-world criminal behavior.

Content based on real criminal cases, real criminals, or real victims is strictly prohibited. True crime bots, reenactments of real cases, or content unmistakably modeled after real-world crimes in a glorifying manner are not allowed. Crime-related content must not provide actionable guidance, tactical instruction, or real-world advice on committing crimes. It must not target real individuals or groups.

The central principle across all crime-related themes is clear fictional separation from real-world harm. When content blurs that line or appears to celebrate real criminal activity, it will be removed.
