Improper Use of Copyrighted Material
JanitorAI respects intellectual property rights. Any copyrighted material may be removed without prior notice upon request from the original rights holder or their legal representative.
If a copyright owner or authorized representative submits a valid removal request, the content in question will be removed from the platform without warning. This applies to all forms of copyrighted material, including but not limited to artwork, writing, images, branding elements, and other protected works.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their content complies with applicable copyright laws, including restrictions surrounding fan-made or derivative works.
CSS Copying and Credit Requirements
JanitorAI allows users to customize their profiles using CSS. However, the use of another person’s CSS is subject to the following rules:
If a user wishes to use CSS created by another individual, they must first obtain permission from the original creator unless the creator has explicitly granted open permission for reuse. If the creator requires credit as a condition of use, proper credit must be clearly provided (for example: “Custom CSS by [profile name]”).
If CSS is copied without permission, or without required credit, and a report is submitted to moderation, it will be removed without prior notice. Repeated infractions may lead to removal of ability to use profile customization going forward.
If a creator has openly allowed their CSS to be reused but requires attribution, failure to credit may still result in moderation action.
Malicious CSS
Custom CSS may not be used in a way that interferes with platform functionality or user safety. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Obstructing or hiding the block button
- Disabling standard interface features
- Manipulating layout in a way that prevents users from navigating normally
- Any attempt to deceive, exploit, or impair other users’ experience
If malicious CSS is reported and confirmed, the user’s custom CSS will be removed, and they may lose the ability to customize their profile in the future.
Moderation Standards for CSS Disputes
Moderation will only intervene in cases involving CSS that is demonstrably unique, complex, or specific enough that it could not reasonably be replicated without copying.
The burden of proof lies with the user raising the complaint. Evidence may include (but is not limited to):
- Direct CSS matches (identical selectors, property order, formatting, comments, or whitespace patterns)
- Unique identifiers (unusual class names, IDs, or structural fingerprints)
- Timestamped evidence showing prior creation
- Highly specific layouts, animations, or structural logic that are unlikely to be independently recreated
Creators are encouraged to maintain documentation of their work. Including subtle, non-visible identifiers within CSS (“easter eggs”) may assist in proving authorship in disputes.
Community Collaboration
If a user provides CSS assistance or shares complex framework code in community spaces (such as forums or Discord), they may request credit as a condition of use. If permission and attribution requirements are clearly communicated, they must be respected.
Reports of unauthorized CSS use should be submitted through the official support portal with proof of authorship or commission.
