FAQ: Bot Images & You

So you want to upload an image to JanitorAI for your bot but aren't sure what format types we accept? Look no further.

Note: This FAQ only covers acceptable image formats - this is not a guide about image moderation.

Acceptable Formats:

  • PNG: Lossless compression format which keeps all the image data. It's best for graphics that require sharpness, transparency, etc. It is a larger file size than JPG. If you are running into issues uploading your image using PNG, try saving your image as a JPG instead or converting the format.
  • JPG: A compression format best suited for photographs and realistic images where image loss isn't easily noticeable. Significantly smaller file size than PNGs and does not support transparency. It is preferred format for web photos since the image loads faster typically.
  • WebP*: Created by Google and a newer image format that has the lowest file size between JPG and PNG while maintaining quality. Does support transparency, though support for this file type is limited still since it is a newer format.

*Note: We do not accept GIFs or animated bot images and using one can result in your bot having the image replaced.
