Users connecting from IP addresses in Brazil or Australia will need to complete a one-time age verification to access JanitorAI. This is a legal requirement — not a product choice. If you are outside these two countries, nothing changes for you.

Verification Options
JanitorAI uses k-ID, the same provider used by Discord, Twitch, and Snapchat, chosen specifically for its privacy-first approach. You'll have three ways to verify:

Your Privacy
- k-ID does not store your documents or facial data after verification.
- Janitor receives only a yes/no answer on whether you are over 18. Nothing else.
- Your ID or selfie data is never linked to your Janitor account.
- Detection is IP-based only. No GPS, no physical address, no location tracking.
- All existing data, such as characters, chats, settings, remains exactly as it is.

1) I'm not in Brazil or Australia. Does this affect me?
- No. This only applies to users connecting from IP addresses in Brazil or Australia. If you are in any other country, your experience is completely unchanged.
2) Why is Janitor doing this? Did they choose to?
- No. Both Brazil and Australia passed new laws requiring age verification on platforms serving adult content. The alternatives were either blocking both countries entirely or facing penalities and fines. Janitor chose verification to keep the service available in those regions
3) Will Janitor see my ID or face scan?
- No. The verification is handled entirely by k-ID. Janitor only receives a pass/fail signal. They never see your government ID, facial data, or any personal documentation.
4) What is k-ID and is it trustworthy?
- k-ID is an age verification provider also used by Discord, Twitch, and Snapchat. They were selected specifically because of their privacy-first design. They do not store your documents and do not link any data to your Janitor account.
5) Will this ever roll out to other countries?
